On Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., Ron fell asleep to go dancing with Hazel once again. He was 96 years of age. Ron was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Hazel; parents, Albert and Sadie Babcock; son Raymond; daughter-in-law Lynne Babcock; brothers, Howard (Annie), Gordon and Bill; sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Curlock and Shirley Sutton; brothers-in-law, Bob (Lavica) Dickie, Gordon (Cecelia) Dickie, Harry (Ivy) Dickie and Tom Dickie; and sisters-in-law, Marty Babcock, Eva (Dave) McKinnon, Mable (Alf) Dunn, Mary (Gurvin) Foss, Margaret (Rolland) Pollock, Pearl (Roy) Pollock, Clara (Bill) Sutherland and Amy (Walter) Seabrook. He is survived by brother Lawrence Babcock; son Albert (Phyllis); grandsons, Kerry (Patti), Ryan (Jen), Trevor (Jackie), Brent (Voni) and Steven (Dinnette); great grandchildren, Michelle, Myles, Ronnie, Kayla, Kendal, Kianna, Wyatt, Amber, Megan, Rylan and Aaron; great great grandson Deron; sisters-in-law, Dora Dickie, Joyce Babcock and Rose Babcock; brother-in-law Dwayne Sutton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service was held at St. Andrew's United Church, Creelman, on Friday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ann White officiating.
