Martha Florence Dreher "Flo" born March 18, 1926 passed away peacefully on August 9, 2014 at the age of 88 years. She was born to Everett and Ella Toovey at Torquay. Florence was the fifth child in her family with ten siblings. She was raised and received her education in the Torquay area and on June 12, 1946 married Vernon Dreher. Together they had three sons, Allan (1947), Donald (1949) and Wilbert (1956). They farmed eight miles north of Bromhead. She worked hard on the farm, doing whatever needed to be done and helping Vernon with all aspects of farming. Florence loved her garden and flowers and in her free time Florence enjoyed quilting and singing. When they moved to Weyburn in 1974 she worked at Robinson Store and Brady's House of Flowers for a short time. Florence later devoted much of her time as a full time volunteer for so many things. She was very active in the Community of Christ Church. Florence was ordained into the priesthood as an elder in 1986. She was dedicated to her church and also volunteered at the Salvation Army and many other places where help or service was needed. Florence and Vernon travelled to Provost, Alberta for many years to attend their church camp, helping out with many things there. This was something she always looked forward to and that was one of the happiest and most fulfilling times in her life. Florence always was happy when she could travel to see her children. Together they travelled to Alaska, throughout the United States and Western Canada. Florence's devotion to Vernon, her children, grandchildren and others was her greatest joy. She was always helping out her friends in any way she could, be it a taxi driver, confidant or whatever need was out there for them. She always thought of others first and herself last. Florence was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Ella Toovey; husband, Vernon Dreher; son Donald, daughter-in-law, Diane and ten brothers and sisters. Florence is survived by her sons, Allan (Donna) of Delisle and Jim (Jenny) of San Antonio, TX; special niece, Loretta Knibbs of Weyburn, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
