Forever in our Hearts and Memories
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Ann Peltier. Mom passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on Sunday June 23, 2013, at the Rockyview General Hospital with all of her family by her side. She was born in Weyburn to Willis and Betty Bennett on June 5, 1941 and married Ray, her husband of 52 years, on September 17, 1961. Mom loved her family and thrived on 小蓝视频 the "family planner", bringing us all together for any occasion. She loved unconditionally; she was patient and understanding; never judgmental and supported us kids in everything we did. Her quick wit and sense of humor always made us laugh, even up to the last hours of her life. Mom had such a huge, thoughtful heart, she was our family rock. She was a dedicated hard worker and created many life-long friendships through her 25 years with K-Mart and Rexall Drugs. She enjoyed an occasional visit to the casino, loved to shop and played cards weekly with her very close friends Doris and Lynne, always letting us know who won the "pot" which was always donated to a charity. Mom leaves behind her husband Ray, eldest son Curtis (Elaine), Brad (Jackie), Anita (Myke) and youngest son Ray. She will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren Matthew, Chanda, Michael, Laura, Adam, Eric, Mytchell and Alysa and great grandchild Taylor Rae. She is survived by her sisters Ferne Harding, Leila Marriott, Shirley (Jerry) Noel, Myrt Dickinson and brother Ken Bennett, sister in-law Vivian Godard, aunt Hilda Lansdell and several nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents Willis and Betty Bennett; brothers Dennis, Dale and Merlin; sister Faye; nephews Rick and David Marriott and Barry Bennett; brothers-in-law, Jim Marriott, Don Dickinson and Ernie Harding; sisters-in-law Diane Bennett and Irene McArthur. A Celebration of Mom's life was held at the chapel of Eden Brook Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, at 1:00 p.m. If so desired donations can be made to the Alberta Lung Association http://www.ab.lung.ca/.
