Gertie was born on February 12, 1928. She married Norman Hausch on June 21, 1952 and they began their married life on a farm south of Creelman. It was there that they raised their four daughters. Gertie always had a big garden and did lots of pickling and canning. She had wonderful neighbours and nearly every Saturday evening they would get together for meals and to play games or cards. Some years the family would move into Creelman for the winter months as travel was too difficult to get to and from the farm. Due to Norman鈥檚 declining health, they sold the farm and moved to Weyburn in 1975. Gertie was Norman鈥檚 caregiver until it became too difficult for her. He then became a resident at Souris Valley Extended Care Hospital. He was there for almost 20 years, and Gertie, 小蓝视频 the loving and devoted wife that she was, visited him as often as she could. The whole family would gather there for family birthdays and holidays as well. Family was everything to Gertie. She was always so proud to introduce her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to everyone she met. She kept many pictures of family displayed in her apartment and treasured and kept any gift she received. As well as 小蓝视频 a devoted wife, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. We will cherish the good times and memories we had with her until we meet again. Visitation was held Monday, March 21, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Chapel.
