Elsie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Fillmore Health Centre at the age of 92 years. She was born January 18, 1921 near Handsworth to Ladislaus and Victoria (nee Agopsowicz) Michel. Elsie is predeceased by her husband, Stanley, son-in-law, Nick Colles; her parents; her siblings, Winnie Seiferling, Betty Andrews, Albert and Harold Michel; brothers-in-law, Robert Andrews, Grant Widdifield and Clem Seiferling; nephews, Graham Andrews and Leonard Seiferling and niece Joan (Rob) Scheirer. She is survived by her son, Nelson (Penny) McKee; daughter, Linda Colles; grandchildren, Michael (Carisa) Colles, Krista (Craig) Dutka and Corey McKee; great grandchildren, Ava and Nathan Colles and Alanis and Jovi Dutka; siblings, Robert (Jean) Michel, Victoria and Anne (Howard) Bolton; sisters-in-law, Lois and Gail as well as many nieces and nephews. Elsie enjoyed her hobbies of gardening, solving word and jigsaw puzzles and knitting. Many of her family are graced with her beautiful knitted afghans. She was an avid Blue Jays baseball fan, watching as many games as she could during the summer, but turning her attention to curling during the winter months, a sport she herself had participated in during her younger years. Most of all she enjoyed 小蓝视频 with her family. She felt blessed that she was able to get to know her four precious great grandchildren and spent many an hour playing with them and teaching them the old childhood games that her children and grandchildren had also learned from her. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, October 15 at 2:00 PM from St. Andrews United Church, Creelman with Ann White officiating. A private family interment took place at the Creelman Golden Gates Cemetery, Creelman. In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, donations in memory of Elsie may be made to Fillmore Health Centre at Box 246, Fillmore, Saskatchewan, S0G 1N0.
