On Thursday, May 1, 2014, Mr. Dorlyn Sidney Pierce was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus Christ, his Savior, at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes of 58 years; children, Brenda (Brent) of Moose Jaw, Brian (Ruth) of Saskatoon, Barbara (Kimber) of Falher, AB and Beverley (Allan) of Ashmont, AB; grandchildren, Nolan (Cathy), Nadine (Jesse), Theresa, Grant, Candice (Jonathan), Mathew, Jason, Kurtis, Jennifer, Taylor, Jill, Ben and Derek; great grandchildren, Meika, Zidane, Eleana, Jackson, Carys, Mason, Caleb and Chloe; brothers, Don (Peggy) and Jack (Linda); sister, Beverley (Mervin); brothers and sisters-in-law, Doreen (Dwayne), Gerald (Carmen), Darlene (Rodney), Fran, Jenny and Vi; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and others who were privileged to have known such a wonderful, loving man. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Sandra Lee; parents, Bill and Viola; brother, Mel. Dorlyn lived his life to the fullest and was an eternal optimist who led by example. He was a Mcleods man for almost 40 years; a long time member of the United Church and lived his life according to the Golden Rule. He was fortunate to travel the world with his loving wife, Agnes at his side; finally choosing Mesa as their winter home. Dorlyn's main priority in life was always his family and we were blessed with a legacy of love. The celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. at United Church, St. Paul, AB.
