With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Beth, dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her battle with cancer was fought with courage, dignity and grace, and she was an inspiration to all of us who watched her take on this challenge. Beth was born in northern Saskatchewan and moved to Weyburn at the age of 18. She spent 37 years working as a nurse and laboratory aide at the Weyburn Union Hospital. Beth moved to Fort Smith, Northwest Territories at the age of 81 to spend her last days with her precious daughter and family. She will be known for her fear of the Lord and a desire to do God's work. Beth will be remembered for her love of nature, fresh clean air and water. A desired accomplishment in her last days was the purchase of a well to supply clean accessible water for a village in Africa. Beth was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Annie Harder; her husband, Witold (Mike) Gurajdowski and her sisters, Mary Erickson, Nettie Reardon and Ann Robertson. Beth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joan and her husband, Dennis Bevington; grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Alexandra, Anneliese and her husband, Brandon Kikoak; great grandchildren, Jonah, Jacob and Ava Bevington and Liliana, Elizabeth, Sebastien and Solenn Kikoak; sisters and brothers, Ben, Margaret (Ron), Bernice (Harvey), Stella (Norm), Lillian (Bill), Henry (Elaine), John (Maxine), Martha (Earl), Peter (Darlene) and Bill (Marilyn); 46 nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family and many dear friends. A funeral service for Beth was held on Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 PM from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Pastor Dennis Hall officiating. Interment took place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. Donations in memory of Beth may be made to a church of the donor's choice. Condolences may be left at: www.fletcherfuneralchapel.com.
