WEYBURN - A Ukrainian lunch and supper, featuring homemade Ukrainian food, was held at the Weyburn Wheatland Senior Centre on Sunday, May 22. This event was held to raise funds to help Ukraine's war effort in fighting Russian forces.
Local Ukrainian residents helped to organize the fundraiser. The meal included perogies, cabbage rolls, Ukrainian sausage, borscht and more. The supper was held on May 22 until 7 p.m.
All funds will go directly to Ukraine to help out displayed residents in the war-ravaged country, suffering under the invasion by Russia that began in February. The funds will be sent to the Come Back Alive organize in Ukraine.
