ESTEVAN - Scottish culture was celebrated in Estevan on Saturday night during a Ceilidh night.
Approximately 180 people gathered at the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for the festivities. The Drewitz School of Dance's Highland dancers were joined by members of the local pipes and drums band.
A DJ also supplied music.
This marked the first time that a Ceilidh night has been held in Estevan. It is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering.
A future edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
