To those who say that technology has ruined the spelling and grammar skills of my generation:
I find myself wondering what you base this on? Studies? Test scores? Interviews? Regardless of what method by which you obtained these findings, I'm here two tell you it's all false. Students these days are just as eloquent as students of decades past. If anything, I'd say our long days staring at computer or cell phone screens have made us more better able to express ourselves great in a good way.
Our math scores may seem low to you, but consider how many of us have grown up with calculators to use to solve each and every problem. Mental math is a thing of the past, it's obsolete and these scores are inconsequential in today's world.
We spent our entire days communicating with each other, so I'd argue that we're actually more better at communicating than past students. How can constantly texting or chatting be hurting our learning? Teachers are always saying that reading makes us smarter!
I've talked to my teechers and they said they never seen anyone do better in school than kids in my class. See, thoughs who think were dumb? Clearly were just as smart as past students.
Looking at test scores can be misleading. I can be totally way smart even though my test scores can be low sometimes. But it gets hard too study when I'm on FB. But Sara posted her knew bb pics, so obviously i needed to check thoughs out more then I needed to read Shakes pear. Not totally sure watt he/she has done, but pretty sure I can find it on sparknotes.
But neways, as you can totally tell, just talking to me shows how smart I am. I go to class almost all day, to almost all my classes. Coarse, i skip sometimes but it doesn't matter sense there aren't no recommends! I dunno why ne1 goes to school actually. I meen, my teachers have thregh--threatn-- told me they'll give me bad grades if I dont come to class, but whatevs. giv me detenshun, I don care! Give me a bunch of EI's, I don care!
I gist want every1 to lay off about how were dumber than before. Were not. Were taking ciriculums created just to make us smartr! its not textings fault.
Teechers who are mad about cellphones in classrooms shood gist get over it. Its not lyke im not lissening to you. my generation s a bunch of multi-taskers. So gist cause you don think i can hear you rattled on about squware routes and stuff doesn't mean your write. n wen u say u cant here over my ring tone, tak louder!
Wat im trying to say is that my friends and me aren't stupider than you. were just different. i call it progress. were progressing beyond watt you ever were.
Btw, do u need me to install you're new anti-virus?
