I am sure many are aware we had two nice new hotels build in Carlyle as they are pretty hard to miss when driving along hwy 9&13 through Carlyle. They are great additions to the community and I as a business person of 20 years welcome both.
One thing I do not welcome is how both companies have allowed their construction waste to litter both sides of the highway along the 1 mile stretch they are built along. It looks like a small bomb went off along the ditch west of main street things like wood sheeting, batts of insulation, styrofoam and hundreds of pieces of plastic and house wrap.
The same thing appears to be happening in Redvers as well.
The other hotel on the east side has construction waste all along our beautiful golf course ditch and lots also ended up in the elementary school yards trees, again litterly hundreds of pieces of debris.
Would both of your corporations please show some pride and clean up your mess. Myself and others in Carlyle have used our quads in previous years to pick up some of the garbage that gets blown around throughout the winter, but this mess would most likely fill a few 6 yard waste bins.
I recommend your corporations clean it up now and show you really care about the image of our great community.
