The first report of April finds us enjoying warm temperatures and lots of sunshine.
Since I last reported on the 31st of March, we had one of our staff members retire, Judy Moore. After dinner we said our appreciation and presented her with a few gifts. She is retiring after almost 11 years at the Villa. She will be greatly missed, but we are happy for her to be able to enjoy many things she couldn't do before.
Easter has been around us everywhere in decorations, special serviettes, special meals and lots of treats. Following dinner on Good Friday, we were entertained by a group of adults from our community out on the patio – Terry and Caroline Friesen, Sharon and Lester Thiessen, Alma Friesen, Lorna Raisbeck, and Cheryl, Harold and Amanda Friesen.
Later on, we also had a group of great grandchildren singing many familiar songs for our enjoyment. Thank you so much.Â
Easter Sunday we were given plastic eggs filled with chocolates and decorated so cutely from the Maryfield United Church Sunday school. Again, we thank you.
We have also enjoyed watching a couple of films on threshing reunions and musical talents. The last one was of a gathering held outside the villa in 2019, courtesy of Ted Stremel.
We welcomed two new residents, Lucienne Thomas and Bill Swallow. We hope you will enjoy СÀ¶ÊÓƵ part of our Villa family.Â
Unfortunately, we are shut down once again, requiring a bit more patience.
As curling fans, we are spending many hours of watching Canada play and there are lots yet to come.
