The Editor:
On March 3 Wawota Save Our Beds Committee hosted an informational public meeting in the Wawota Town Hall.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform all affected communities of the ongoing negotiations with the Sun Country Health Region in dealing with the closures of five beds in Deer View Lodge.
After hearing the presented time line of events, people approached the public address system in anger and disgust over the unprofessional and rude conduct that has been shown to the committee during these dealings. It is very apparent the Sun Country board is not aware of their duties to represent the taxpayers and to make the administration accountable. In fact, it is the extreme opposite.
The board, under the influence of S. Bauche, is manipulated by their employee, interim CEO, Marga Cugnet. As reported, efforts in this direction have proven unsuccessful due to her control.
Local 小蓝视频s profess they have tried, on our behalf, but to no avail. The minister of health has repeatedly made it clear he is not about to step in and correct this problem. Maybe he is also under some kind of control?
The bed closures in Wawota are only one issue resulting from the appalling mismanagement of the Sun Country Health Region. All issues need to be presented and brought forth.
If we, the taxpayers, are not going to stand up and demand that the government take control of this situation, we will continue to see the irresponsible waste of our taxpayer dollars.
It was very conclusive to this public meeting that we are not about to give up!
The Sun Country Health Region is grossly mismanaged and the Sun Country board needs to listen to the concerns of the people they represent or resign from the positions they hold.
We will continue to fight until this situation is rectified and our health care is in the hands of responsible management. It is the only way to maintain rural health care.
Signed
