Biological age change possible with work

Recently I have embarked on a challenge that has been put in action through our website getreallive.com. We are in the process of launching a social media movement called "Change The Age." Now, we know we can't change our real age, however studies have proved that we can change our biological age, and in fact, we can affect and impact our genetic makeup by making changes in our everyday lives when it comes to food and healthy living.

So, our GetRealLive "Change The Age" movement is all about changing certain aspects of our current lives and transforming not only our bodies but our minds and souls into who/what we want to be. I think it's said best by Ghandi: "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

We all desire change in some part of our lives, whether it be in our physical body, in our thinking or perhaps on our spiritual journey. None of us has arrived, rather we are a constant work in progress.
For me, at this point in time, I have embraced the physical side of Change The Age. I decided that as a 42-year-old mother of three, who doesn't dip from the deep end of the gene pool (our family has heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes), there are changes I need to make. Changes that involve losing a few pounds here and there and this means hard work, wise choices and replacing bad habits with good habits.

For contextual purposes, I think it's important to note that I have always kept myself physically fit and have done my best to keep myself in good shape while travelling through the baby years.

In saying that, over the past three years, I have let things slip. Although I recognize the key points, and the major life changes that have aided this slip, I realize now that although drastic and devastating as these situations may have been, they have impacted and affected my greatest asset (which is me) in a negative way.

The situations I'm referring to are:

1) A major relocation for our family: we moved countries - Australia to Canada.

2) We experienced a sudden loss: the death of my father.

Through both of these major life changes I did what any mother does when things like this happen, I focused on others. Like any mother, I wanted everyone to be settled and through their grief before I was. It's what we mums do!

In and through this entire experience I lost a bit of myself, and now it's time to take it all back. So, as our GetRealLive "Change The Age" movement begins, I have put myself forward as the one to show change in real time. I am blogging/writing and sharing videos about my journey thus far.

It has been hard, I've been challenged and pushed beyond my physical capacity, but I am embracing the change because I know and understand change needs to happen.

If I want to live the life I dream of, to be the wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend that I want to be, I need to make these changes. It took me 小蓝视频 honest with myself and making the choice to work hard.

I'm excited about sharing my honest journey, which includes the progress and the setbacks I've endured thus far. Feel free to follow or perhaps join me on this journey by visiting getreallive.com or listen to our live radio show every weekday morning and hear the updates.

I am changing the age ... one decision at a time. I'm choosing "be the change I wish to see in the world."
