Finding new ways to get active can be a challenge, especially if you are content to sit on the couch.
I admit it; I can be exceptionally lazy. I am a young, healthy woman, but I can't really take a lot of credit for it.
I don't exercise regularly or get enough sleep. I skip breakfast and often eat on the run. I let my stress level hit the roof before taking a step back.
I know that I could change any one or all of these shortcomings if I put my mind to it. A person just has to want to. The problem is I just don't want to.
I have always fought sleep. I can't help but feel like it is an enormous waste of time. I could be watching an interesting television program or reading a book and learning something instead of snoozing.
Eating breakfast would only cut into my morning coffee caffeine-high. As for stress, I like getting all riled-up. It makes for a great relief when you finally let all that tension go.
When it comes to exercising, I am not a gym-inclined person. I much prefer 小蓝视频 outside. This does pose a challenge in the winter months, but we don't have to worry about that for quite some time. Summer is upon us and the opportunity for outdoor fun is at hand!
I had the chance to take part in a fun and interesting way to get active, recently. It was called Weyburn's Amazing Race and involved finding clues which took me to different locations, all within walking distance.
Searching for clues was a good way to stay motivated and having to figure out where to go next kept me interested. Plus, I got to use a GPS unit for part of the journey and using little gadgets is always fun. A person could do the Amazing Race with friends or break-up into teams and compete against each other - another good motivator.
The whole thing took place in the great outdoors, allowing for plenty of fresh air and sunshine. It even took me to a few special sites around town.
All-in-all the race gave me a good walk. More importantly, it kept my interest and in our fast-paced, high-tech world that's not easy to do.
