With a successful rookie year on the PGA Tour in the books, Canadian golfer and Weyburn native Graham DeLaet has changed his focus this month. Along with Nationwide Tour player and good friend Barrett Jarosch, the pair are growing their moustaches as part of the "Movember" campaign in support of Prostate Cancer Canada.
DeLaet and Jarosch have long been friends and competitors on and off the golf course and decided they would give their "staches" a shot.
"A moustache is not my standard look and it isn't very pretty, but it is certainly for a worthy cause," said DeLaet. "Barrett's is definitely better looking."
The twosome continues their "growth" and fundraising efforts until the end of the month.
On the course, DeLaet and Jarosch oddly enough both finished their year 100th on their respective money lists. DeLaet, who used a series of top finishes during the fall events to secure his card, finished 100th on the PGA Tour Money list and Jarosch, who had five top 25 finishes in 2010, also finished 100th on the Nationwide Tour Money list.
Prostate Cancer Canada uses the Movember funds for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
