The Western Major Baseball League (WMBL) has announced its 2010 award winners and All-Star selections, including Weyburn Beavers player Jesse Elam. The winners were announced at the 2010 Winter Meetings that were held in Lethbridge on December 4 and 5.
Elam was chosen for the Second Team of the All-Star selection.
The League also announced that Kevin Kvame, current president and general manager of the Lethbridge Bulls, was elected as the new WMBL President, replacing outgoing President Merv Ozirny of Melville.
The incoming president commented on the League Awards.
"I would like to congratulate each and every winner and all-star from the 2010 season. It is exciting to see the quality names and their contributions that they make on the field. The winners highlight the quality of the league and the franchises that make it up," said Kvame.
