The Flyers put themselves behind the 8 ball, dropping a 6 - 4 home ice decision to the Coalers from Bienfait, giving Bienfait a 2 - 0 lead in this Best-of-Five series. Bikenfait opened scoring in the first, scoring eight minutes in, with the Flyers answering with Jordan Fox deflecting an Aron Bourgon point shot to even the score at one after the first period.
The second saw Bienfait pull away scroing three times, once on the power-play taking a commanding 4 - 1 lead after two periods. The third saw the Flyers chip away, getting a pwere-play goal from Kristjan Hebert and then a nice short-handed tally from Drew Bertone after a tenacious fore-check.With the score now 4 - 3 Bienfait with seven minutes left, the Flyers were looking good, but then a goal off aturnover and a Bienfait power-play goal put it out of reach. Hebert, never say die, scored his second with :23 on the clock, but it was too little, too late. Ryan Potter played well in the Flyers' cage. Final score - 6 - 4 for Bienfait.

There were no excuses and no reason to hang our heads tonight - we simply got beaten by a better team! The Coalers dominated thisgame, holding period leads of 2 - 0 and 5 - 1, finishing with a convincing 7 - 4 victory on home ice to clinch this series in the minimun 3 games. The Coalers were full marks for this victory,holding the edge in all facets of the game. It is very tough to win when your opponent plays so well!
Kevin Lincoln led the Flyers with two goals, with singles coming off the sticks of Tommy Thomas and Rob West. Ryan Potter went the distance in the Flyers' net and played well, despite giving up seven goals.
