Water Polo team takes silver

Members of the Weyburn Water Polo team attended the Saskatchewan Open Water Polo Tournament at the Regina Lawson Centre, from November 12 to 14.

Members of the Weyburn Water Polo team attended the Saskatchewan Open Water Polo Tournament at the Regina Lawson Centre, from November 12 to 14.

Weyburn sent a Girl's Cadet Team (ages 14 to 16) that finished in second place, losing to a Calgary team in the final match. Weyburn had beaten the other Calgary team, the Edmonton Thunderbirds, Estevan, and Winnipeg Bushido in the semi-final to get to the gold medal game. The team consisted of the following players: Callahan Huebner, Hailey Walkaden, Karly Moser, Kristen Smart, Taylor Molde, Rylee Molde, Jenna Haupstein, Kelsey Jensen, and Emma Guest. Callahan, Taylor, Jenna, Kelsey and Emma also played on the Regina Open Women's Team that finished in second place, beating Regina, but losing to Calgary.

Dakken Bedore played as a member of the Regina Cadet Team that finished in third place. Dakken also played with Russell Lenferna on the Open Men's Team that lost to Regina in the final match.
