The Senior Men's division of the Weyburn Golf Club concluded their golfing season on September 16 with an 18-hole mixer tournament, followed by a banquet at the Weyburn Golf Club. This year's Spencer Brothers Memorial Golf League Awards benefitted the Hospital Foundation Fund.
The winner of each division received a $200.00 donation receipt from the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Fund.
Mickey Woodard was the winner of the Barry Spencer Event (ages 50-69) of the Spencer Brothers Memorial Senior Match Play. He presented Hospital Foundation representative Kim Thorson with a cheque for $200.00. The donation was Woodard's winnings from the annual event.
Wally Oliver also presented a cheque to Thorson on behalf of Carl Von Hagen, who won the Howard Spencer event (ages 70 and up). Von Hagen was also awarded the overall championship trophy for the entire Senior Men's Golf season.
Dennis Lizuck and Sandy Bell (pictured far left) were named King and Queen of the Tournament.
