Silver Seals bring home medals from Watrous/Oxbow swim meets

WEYBURN - Five members of the Weyburn Silver Seals were in Watrous on July 10, where they competed in the Invitational Swim Meet hosted by the Watrous Whitecaps. Medalists were Dalton Molnar, gold, 15-17 boys category; Jacob Gill, gold, 11-12 boys category; and Avryelle Molnar, silver, 11-12 girls category.

Jacob Gill, male 11-12 category, won first place for the 25 m butterfly, 100 m breaststroke, 200 m IM, 200 m breaststroke and 100 m backstroke.

Marley Kradovill, female 15-17 category, took second in the 200 m freestyle, fourth in the 50 m butterfly, and second in the 200 M IM, 100 m butterfly and 100 m backstroke.

Avryelle Molnar, female 11-12 category, placed second in the 200 m freestyle and 25 m butterfly, third in the 100 m breaststroke, first in the 50 m freestyle, and second in the 50 m breaststroke.

Dalton Molnar, male 15-17 category, won first in the 100 m breaststroke, 200 m IM, 100 m butterfly, and 200 m breaststroke, and placed second in the 100 m freestyle.

There were 12 Silver Seals who competed in the Oxbow Seawolves Aquatic Club Invitational, held in Oxbow on July 10.

Medalists were Charlie Ashworth, bronze, boys 9-10 category; and Dawson King, bronze, boys 15-17 category.

Charlie Ashworth, male 9-10 category, won second in the 100 m freestyle, third in the 50 m breaststroke, second in the 50 m freestyle, second in the 25 me freestyle and second in the 25 m breaststroke.

Emery Baker, female 13-14 category, won fourth in the 50 m backstroke, fourth in the 100 m breaststroke, sixth in the 50 m freestyle and third in the 25 m freestyle.

Dawson King, male 15-17 category, took second in the 200 m freestyle, second in the 50 m butterfly, first in the 100 m breaststroke, third in the 50 m freestyle and second in the 50 m breaststroke.

Lyndsay Kirkpatrick, female 9-10 category, placed 11th in the 25 m backstroke, 10th in the 50 m freestyle, 11th in the 50 m backstroke and 13th in the 25 m freestyle.

Brenna Torkelson, female 9-10 category, placed fifth in the 100 m freestyle, fourth in the 25 m backstroke, third in the 50 m freestyle, fifth in the 50 m backstroke, and fifth in the 25 m freestyle.

Nash Warren, male 11-12 category, placed third in the 25 m freestyle.

Shay Warren, female 9-10 category, placed sixth in the 25 m backstroke, and first in the 25 m freestyle and 25 m backstroke.

Zane Warren, male 8 and under category, took fifth in the 25 m backstroke, 10th in the 50 m freestyle and sixth in the 25 m freestyle.

Cody Wig, male 8 and under category, placed fourth in the 25 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle, and second in the 50 m backstroke and 25 m freestyle.

Elizabeth Wig, female 8 and under category, placed eighth in the 25 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle, third in the 50 m backstroke and seventh in the 25 m freestyle.

Topher Wilkinson, male 9-10 category, finished third in the 25 backstroke, second in the 50 m breaststroke, fifth in the 50 m freestyle, and third in the 25 m breaststroke and 100 m IM.
