The Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Inc. has announced the schedule of events for the "Ulterra Presents the Graham DeLaet Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation."

"We are very excited to have finalized our schedule of events for Wednesday, July 27," announced Golf Tournament Chairperson Michael Hoffman. "There are a number of different events which our community members can be involved in to show their support of the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation as well as to show their support of Graham."

The day will start at 7:30 a.m. with a dedication of "Graham DeLaet Drive" at the Weyburn Golf Club. They will be officially naming the road into the golf club after DeLaet in order to honour Weyburn's hometown golfer, who was the first Saskatchewan golfer to earn full time playing status on the PGA Tour. The dedication is open to the general public and Hoffman said they are expecting a large turnout for the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ.

Not to be outdone, the City of Weyburn proclaimed the day of the tournament as Graham DeLaet Day, recently.

The dedication will be immediately followed by a fundraising breakfast at the Weyburn Golf Club. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds will be going to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation.

At 9 a.m., DeLaet, along with the Weyburn Golf Club's pro, Brett Berkner, will be conducting a junior clinic for interested youth. There is no cost for the clinic, but space is limited. Those interested can contact Berkner at the Golf Club to register.

At 11 a.m., there will be a Texas Scramble format golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club. This will include 18 holes of golf, an opportunity to meet and get a picture taken with DeLaet, and a ticket for the fundraising supper in the evening. There are still a few spots for interested golfers.

To wrap up the day, the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation is hosting a fundraising supper at the Weyburn Curling Club. Cocktails and appetizers will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the catered supper at 7 p.m. DeLaet will be the guest speaker at this event.

The supper will include a live auction with a wide variety of items up for bid, including a diamond ring; a 2012 "Inside the Ropes" Canadian Open Experience; an autographed jersey; a pumping unit; a Saskatchewan Roughriders game day experience; a Saskatchewan Roughriders Centennial Package; a tractor and loader; a TS Gator; a handmade quilt and an autographed, matted and framed pin flag from the 2011 Masters golf tournament.

Tickets can be bought by calling 842-2626 or by email at [email protected].
