A long-time member of Weyburn's junior hockey team will be featured on CBC's Hockey Day in Canada next month.
Hockey Night in Canada's Kelly Hrudey was in Weyburn on December 16, 2010 to film a spotlight on Weyburn Red Wing Coach Dwight McMillan. Hrudy and his crew visited Crescent Point Place and travelled around Weyburn to capture footage for the segment which will be aired on Hockey Day in Canada on February 12.
McMillan became the Red Wings head coach in 1972. Since then, he has led the local team to several victories, including two national junior "A" titles. In 2009, McMillan was one of the inaugural five inductees into the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Hall of Fame.
