Lumsden boy wins Grey Cup experience

A 12-year-old boy from Lumsden had the opportunity to help kick-off the 98th Grey Cup from on-field with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Scotiabank Kid Captain.

A 12-year-old boy from Lumsden had the opportunity to help kick-off the 98th Grey Cup from on-field with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Scotiabank Kid Captain.

Dawson Gottselig got to run on-field with the Roughriders, hold their flag during the national anthem and be on-field for the coin toss at mid-field prior to the start of the game.

Dawson's Scotiabank Kid Captain experience also included four tickets to the Grey Cup game in Edmonton; roundtrip airfare and two nights accommodation; an official team jersey and merchandise prize pack; and spending money.
