Local students place at cross country SE districts

The southeast cross country districts were held in Weyburn on Oct. 5 at the Weyburn Golf Course. The following results include the top three placings for each category.

The southeast cross country districts were held in Weyburn on Oct. 5 at the Weyburn Golf Course. The following results include the top three placings for each category.

In the midget girls category, Celine Selby from the Weyburn Junior High took first at 12:35:18, Kenna McKnight from the Estevan Comp was second at 12:35:78 and Maison Laird from the Junior High won third at 13:18. For the midget boys category, Lucas VanDeSype from the Junior High won first at 16:02, Ryan Bourassa from the Junior High finished second at 16:05, and Logan Leslie from St. Michael School was third at 16:16.

In the junior girls category, Amy Cameron from Oxbow placed first at 18:49, Ryanne North from Carnduff finished second at 19:36 and Karissa Hoffart from Gladmar placed third at 19:40. For the junior boys category, Logan Hertes from the Estevan Comp placed first at 19:54, Reagan Haukeness from the Estevan Comp took second at 20:51, and Tyler Kwochka from the Weyburn Comp placed third at 21:35.

For the senior girls category, Kelsey Hagen from Arcola placed first at 16:55, Jasmine Debruyne from Radville took second at 18:24 and Katie Cameron from Oxbow was third at 19:13. In the senior boys category, Delton Kleemola from the Estevan Comp won first at 22:53, Stephen Aspinall from the Estevan Comp took second at 24:14 and Mitchell Lesy from Carnduff was third at 24:43.

From Grade 3 girls, Kamryn Gilliland from Carievale took first at 4:34, Rese King from Carlyle Elementary placed second at 4:35 and Anna MacFarlane from Oxbow placed third at 4:40. From Grade 3 boys, Tayce Miller from Pleasantdale finished first at 4:25, Adrien Riddel from Carlyle took second at 4:28 and Kieran Stewart from Oxbow placed third at 4:32.

From Grade 4 girls, Arliss Sidloski from Assiniboia Park Elementary placed first at 9:20, Elise Colbow from APES took second at 9:23 and Mckenzie Stowe from Rocanville placed third at 9:27. From the Grade 4 boys, Cody Davis from Alameda placed first at 8:05, Gage Tyhy from APES took second at 8:14, and Chris Lonseeth from Rocanville was third at 8:50.

For Grade 5 girls, Hailey Neiszner from St. Dominic placed first at 8:55, Yang Yang Zhang from Fillmore placed second at 9:08 and Leah Macfarlane from Carnduff placed third with a time of 9:09. From Grade 5 boys, Brad Graves from Sacre Coeur placed first at 8:19, Mason Muxlow from APES won second at 8:23, and Lucas Porter from Wawota was third at 8:34.

For Grade 6 girls category, Haylee Barta from Carlyle won first at 8:42, Abigail Birch from Arcola took second at 8:45 and Janissa Cooley from Oxbow won third at 8:57. From Grade 6 boys Ethan Anderson from Carlyle won first at 7:41, Andrew Lonsettie from Rocanville placed second at 7:45, and Trey Culbert from Gladmar took third at 8:06.

For the Grade 7 girls category, Isabelle Beahm from Hillcrest won first at 8:57, Emily Brittin from Oxbow took second at 9:17 and Jill Dalziel from Oxbow was third at 9:19. From the Grade 7 boys, Ben Hiltz from the Junior High won first at 8:03, Jayden Davis from Alameda took second at 8:05 and Kienan Piper from Stoughton won third at 8:11. For the Grade 8 girls, Carly Kreklewich from Sacre Coeur won first at 12:26, Madison Reea from Rocanville took second at 12:29 and Kyra Widenmaier from Oxbow won third at 13:32. For Grade 8 boys, Nicholas Cuthbert from the Junior High won first at 11:31, Brandon Benner from Wawota took second at 11:34, and Kashtin Hunter from the Junior High was third at 11:34.
