Dawn Dyer has been chosen to attend the Can Skate Coaches University Program in Charlottetown, PEI.

Keith and Sandra Dyer are proud of their daughter Dawn.

Dawn Dyer, Figure Skating Coach of Carlyle and Arcola Figure Skating Clubs, was one of 15 coaches chosen across Canada who leads a "high effective Can Skate session" to attend the Can Skate Coaches University Program in Charlottetown PEI May 24th and 25th.

Dawn thought to apply as she saw the requirements on the Skate Canada website which were very similar to the documents she had to send in for the Pilot Program that Carlyle Figure Skating Club took on this year. Dawn first applied for this at the beginning of the year sending in the Can Skate session layouts and supporting letters from a few parents and board members.

She made it through that submission and by March she was asked to send in a videotape of an on ice session, a music CD she created and the circuits she made up for the groups. With the help of the Program Assistants, the Board Members, and all the supportive parents Dawn was able to run a very successful Can Skate session.

Skate Canada is paying all the expenses for Dawn's trip to Charlottetown, and also receives a discount on the National Coaches Conference that will be held following the Can Skate University.
