Local athletes compete in Calgary

Competing against Team Saskatchewan in the girls under 22 category at a Water Polo Tournament recently held in Calgary were Weyburn's Kelsey Jensen, Taylor Molde, Jenna Haupstein, Sydney Huebner, Kaylyn Jensen and Claudia Lenferna.

Competing against Team Saskatchewan in the girls under 22 category at a Water Polo Tournament recently held in Calgary were Weyburn's Kelsey Jensen, Taylor Molde, Jenna Haupstein, Sydney Huebner, Kaylyn Jensen and Claudia Lenferna. In game one Team SK lost to Calgary Splash 10 to 8. Calgary Renegades Gold beat Team SK 9 to 3 in game two. Team SK went on to win their third game 6 to 5 against Calgary Renegades Black. In the final game of the tournament, Team SK was defeated by Calgary Renegades Gold 11 to 7.

On the men's side, Weyburn's Russell Lenferna was competing with Team SK. In game one Team SK beat Bowness 8 to 5 but then went on to lose to that same team by the same score in game two. In the third game Team SK beat Torpedo Youth 9 to 8 and in their final game they also beat Torpedo Senior 10 to 8.

The next action for these water polo athletes is November 11 to 13 where they will be playing in the Saskatchewan Open in Regina.
