Li'l Red Devils bring home gold

The Weyburn Li'l Red Devils under-12 girls' soccer team were gold medal winners at the Regina Challenge Cup Tournament on June 17, 18 and 19.

The Weyburn Li'l Red Devils under-12 girls' soccer team won gold in Regina, recently. The Weyburn Li'l Red Devils under-12 girls' soccer team were gold medal winners at the Regina Challenge Cup Tournament on June 17, 18 and 19.

The Li'l Red Devils went undefeated throughout the tournament, beating Regina QC United 3-2, Regina REU Ravens 1-nil, and drawing 1-1 with the Regina AC Tigers.

In a thrilling gold medal final the Li'l Red Devils defeated QC United 1-nil. Houston Kopec scored late in the second half of overtime to give the Devils the victory.
