Grade 6 student Janelle Pouliot practices her technique for sliding with a broom and rock, during the Grade 6 learn-to-curl session for St. Michael School at the Weyburn Curling Rink on Nov. 30. A couple of teachers along with some adult volunteers spent time with the class teaching them the basic techniques for curling as the students learn how to play one of Canada's most popular winter sports.
