Weyburn's Elanne Krainyk is an alternate for Team Saskatchewan for the national junior women's championship that will be held in Ontario in August.
Krainyk finished fifth at the SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Women's Golf Championship at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course in Prince Albert from July 6 to 9.
She opened the tournament with a 93. Rounds of 90 and 95 followed. Her best score came in the final round, as Krainyk shot an 83.
The top four finishers at the SGI Canada tournament are expected to comprise Team Saskatchewan. But if one of the four golfers is unable to attend nationals, then Krainyk would have the opportunity to compete in the tournament.
