Hospital E.R. to receive $35k from golf tournament proceeds

The Travelodge Charity Golf Tournament raised a whopping $35,418 for the Weyburn General Hospital, recently. The money has been ear-marked for new Emergency Room equipment.

The Travelodge Charity Golf Tournament raised a whopping $35,418 for the Weyburn General Hospital, recently. The money has been ear-marked for new Emergency Room equipment.

The tournament, which was held on June 12 at the Weyburn Golf Club, had 142 golfers participating. An auction and banquet rounded off the day.

This was the 10th year for the tournament and over the past decade approximately $195,000 has been raised for the local hospital.

Plans are already underway for next year's tournament, which will be held on June 10, 2012.
