A faulty brine pump at the Assiniboia Civic Centre upset scheduling and forced the 小蓝视频ern Junior B Rebels to reschedule its game from October 25 and to relocate the games played on October 28-29. Mossbank Centennial Arena opened its doors to the Junior Rebels and hosted the weekend games in Mossbank.
The Junior Rebels took on the Prince Albert Titans on October 28 and the Saskatoon Westleys on October 29. The game scheduled for October 25 against the Silver Foxes was rescheduled for November 27 in Assiniboia with an 8:30 p.m. start.
The Junior Rebels overcame adversity with scheduling to defeat the Prince Albert Titans 9 to 6 on October 28 in Mossbank. The Titans opened the scoring halfway through the first period and took the lead going into the break. The Rebels came back with two quick goals in the second period to even up the score before surging ahead with five goals in the second. They added three more in the third to clinch the win.
It was a freewheeling game with lots of scoring but with relatively few shots on goal. Goals for the Rebels came from Dakota Helland and Tyde Hutchinson with two each and a goal apiece from Matt Kesslering, Trey Tendler, Randy Stowe, Bryce Hall and Tristin Rousseau. Five Titans players were involved in the scoring.
The Junior Rebels were edged out by the Saskatoon Westleys 7 to 6 in Mossbank on October 29. The Rebels outshot their opponents 44 to 26, but a stolid net performance by Morgan Bogdan for the Westleys kept the game close.
The Westleys opened the scoring with two early goals. Bryce Hall and Dakota Helland from the Rebels tied up the game before the end of the first period. The second period saw the Rebels and Westleys trade goals with most of the scoring coming in the last six minutes of the period. Dakota Helland scored both for the Rebels, earning himself a hat trick for the night. But it was a bittersweet accomplishment with the team taking the loss.
Taking the second period momentum, Avery Sabourin-Altman and Bryce Hall scored two early goals to take the lead, but the Westleys evened the score by the game鈥檚 end forcing the game into sudden death overtime. Cale Kindrachuk of the Westleys came up with the game-winning goal in the third minute. It was a tough loss for the Rebels players who rallied under the unusual situation of another 鈥渞oad trip鈥 weekend.
