The JHC Hitmen have kicked off their 2011/2012 Bantam A season with a pair of big wins. The Hitmen visited the Regina Jets on October 13 and came away with a 5-2 victory thanks to a tremendous performance in the early-going by Branden Smith in goal. Harley Johnson led the way up front with two goals while single tallies came from Rylan Wotherspoon, Kolton Ganson and Kiefer Simpson. Assists went to Mason Langedahl (2), Tylar Fox, Scott Jones and Rylan Wotherspoon.
The Hitmen nailed down a big 4-3 win on October 23 in their home-opener against the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. Hitmen goals came from Kolton Ganson, Rylan Wotherspoon (2) and Brendan Beach. Assists were from Rylan Chessal, Kyle Bartlett, Kiefer Simpson (2), Brendan Beach and Rylan Wotherspoon.
The season looks bright between the pipes for the JHC Hitmen as Nicholas Cuthbert got the start in goal and was solid throughout the game making many key saves in the third period.
