The Estevan Sherritt Coal Haulers are back in the win column in a big way after taking all three of their games on the road in the past week.
The Haulers (4-2-1) thumped a young Yorkton squad 10-2 and 13-2 in a doubleheader on Monday.
They had edged Weyburn 9-8 last Tuesday in a game that saw Kale Little account for six runs with a grand slam and a two-run homer.
The Haulers piled on the runs early in both Yorkton games, bringing five runs across the plate in the first inning of the first game and seven in the second game.
The first game saw Estevan add two more runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Starter Dustin Schill went three innings, with Matt Rohloff and Garrett Fitzpatrick pitching two apiece in relief.
Yorkton scored both of their runs in the sixth inning.
In Monday's second game, the Haulers' bats went quiet after the first inning, which saw all 11 batters come to the plate.
Estevan scored one in the second inning before exploding for another five runs in the fifth. The game was then called.
Rohloff, Schill and Jesse Mack each batted 2-for-3 for the Haulers. Little doubled and walked twice in his three plate appearances.
The game against Weyburn saw the teams tied 3-3 after three innings before the Haulers broke it open with five runs in the fourth.
Little hit his home runs in back-to-back innings, with the two-run shot in the third and the grand slam in the fourth.
"He had a good day at the plate," said Haulers manager Lindsay Clark. "He's a big, strong, athletic player who's very skilled at a lot of sports and I think it's natural that he performs at a high level at this one."
Estevan added another run in the fifth inning and they would need it as Weyburn staged a four-run rally in the bottom of the sixth.
The Haulers were set to host Weyburn last night. Their next action is Saturday when they play the Buffalos and Pacers in Regina. They will then play another contest in Weyburn on Tuesday.
