How far have members of the Estevan Haulers come along in the last two years? In two days they'll find out.The Haulers are scheduled to open the 2010 bantam AA provincial baseball championship tournament Friday afternoon in Yorkton against the Martensville Mustangs.Several of the Haulers were part of the Estevan Tornados team that lost 12-4 to Martensville in the peewee AA provincial final two years ago at Estevan. The Haulers recently ended a 10-game losing streak in their Baseball Regina bantam AAA league and continued to roll by going undefeated at a AA tournament in Weyburn this past weekend.Austin Kuchinka pitched five innings for the Haulers as Estevan beat the hosts 10-4 in Sunday's final."You put aluminum bats in the kids' hands and they just start hitting the ball I guess," said Haulers head coach Mason Schick. "It's a big change from wood to aluminum and I think we scored 65 or 66 runs (in five games). We were in the double-digit runs every game. You really can't complain about that."At provincials Estevan will also share a pool with the Prince Albert Royals and the Lloydminster Twins.Pool B includes the Swift Current Indians, North Battleford Beavers, Yorkton Cardinals, and Weyburn Royals. The Haulers will play Prince Albert Saturday morning and Lloydminster in the afternoon. Tiebreakers, semifinals, and the championship game are all scheduled for Sunday."It'll be pretty much exactly what we see at provincials," Schick said of the Weyburn tournament. "And I have a feeling that we're going to meet Weyburn somewhere down the line, either in the semifinals or final we're not sure what the other teams have but it should be good."
