KENOSEE LAKE - The Golf Kenosee Ladies Club held their annual golf tournament on Aug 8, with a Roaring Twenties theme.  

A total of 136 women competed in the five-flight event with a shotgun start. Teams enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner served by Club 19 after their round. The Wendy Currie team won the event, shooting a 65, narrowly beating the Shelley Big Eagle team with a score of 66.  

In addition to winners for flight and proximity holes, there were prizes for fun holes, raffles and a pot of gold.  

Proceeds from the putting contest and the sale of mulligans were donated to Moose Mountain Water Management Corporation. 

In the first flight, the winning team consisted of Wendy, Colleen and Jenna Currie, and Wendy Cowan, who shot a 65. Shelley Big Eagle, Teresa Jordan, Shannon Knibbs and Kelly Silcox were second at 66.  

Barb Swanson, Kim Crawford, Donna Coffey and Monell Cochrane were third at 68, and Charity Brown, Tera Bendtsen, Shawn Peterson and Janessa Wilson were fourth at 68.  

In the second flight, the winning team was Bette Walker, Deb Casey, Carol Spence and Dinna Binner with a 72.

The winners of the third flight were Shirley Palendat, Connie McIntyre, Eileen Packet and Jan Chell with a 76.

Chris Hausseker, Christa Elder, Linda McDowell and Colleen Farnden won the fourth flight with a 78.

The winners of the fifth flight, with an 84, were Val Cawood, Betty Drumm, Sharon Sauter and Kathy Schnell.

Glenda Shupe, Jan Keating, Joan Kruger and Sheila Janke won for the most honest team with an 88.
