Gold Wings get honoured

Members of the Weyburn СÀ¶ÊÓƵern Range Gold Wings were honoured at the Saskatchewan Female "AAA" Hockey League Awards, recently.

Members of the Weyburn СÀ¶ÊÓƵern Range Gold Wings were honoured at the Saskatchewan Female "AAA" Hockey League Awards, recently.

Kylie Gavelin took the award for Top Rookie and the league's Top Goalie award was shared this year between Weyburn's Toni Ross and Katie Sigurdson of the Saskatoon Stars.

The Esso Volunteer Award was presented to Dave Creurer of Weyburn.Creurer was a founding member of the Weyburn Gold Wings organization and has been an active director and volunteer for all five years of the club's existence.He has been involved in coaching, billeting, and fundraising efforts over the years and currently continues to serve as the team's treasurer.

The season ended for the Gold Wings after СÀ¶ÊÓƵ swept out of the playoffs by the Saskatoon Stars, 4-3 in game three, recently.
