Future Stars of Tim Hortons Brier

The 2018 Tim Hortons Brier and SaskEnergy announced the 64 junior curlers in Saskatchewan who were selected as SaskEnergy Future Stars. The SaskEnergy Future Stars were announced at the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2018 Tim Hortons Brier and SaskEnergy announced the 64 junior curlers in Saskatchewan who were selected as SaskEnergy Future Stars.

The SaskEnergy Future Stars were announced at the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. The 64 curlers will be paired up with teams at the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier at Regina鈥檚 Brandt Centre at Evraz Place from March 3-11.

Junior curlers from southern Saskatchewan include: Kienna Freitag (Alameda); Chantel Hoag (Gravelbourg);聽 Logan Ede (Kipling); Hayden Willock (Lampman); Kerri Lewis (Langham); Erik Lacombe (Moose Jaw); Chisholm Petersen (Moose Jaw); Kaitlyn Kotz (Radville); Connor Cherpin (Radville); Katie Jantzen (Rosthern); Braylen Knoll (Rosthern); Tyrell Perkin (Rouleau); Beau Cornelson (Swift Current); Theodore Lautsch (Swift Current); Lucas Selk (Swift Current); Erin Kirkland (Tisdale); Shayla Moore (Weyburn); and Gregg Wiens (Weyburn).

The competition was open to all Saskatchewan junior curlers between the ages of 12 and 16. Each junior star will receive an official SaskEnergy Future Stars jacket, and during the Tim Hortons Brier they will be introduced while they accompany their selected team during a pre-game march on to the ice.

SaskEnergy has sponsored Volunteers and the Future Stars program for previous championships in the province, including the 2015 & 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, 2012 Capital One Canada Cup, the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, the 2011 Ford World Men鈥檚 Curling Championship and the 2010 Ford World Women鈥檚 Curling Championship.
