The Stoughton Pool is holding a ?funny? fundraiser for their outdoor swimming pool on October 22.
The Puck ?n Funny Stand-up for Hockey is a corporate-style of stand-up comedy for adults, according to promoter Mike Simmonds. Although the show is normally put on as a fundraiser for local hockey teams and arenas, Simmonds said this fundraiser is for water sports.
?It?s a two-hour show,? said Simmonds. ?There will also be a silent auction of sports memorabilia. All donations are going directly back to the Stoughton swimming pool.?
Comedians at the event include Mike Dambra of Rochester, New York, Paul Voisard and Simmonds, both of Saskatoon.
Simmonds said he is one of two blind comedians in Canada.
Tickets for the event are on sale at Stoughton Meat Market & Family Foods, Newhope Pharmacy and The Pearl in Carlyle.
