After several unsuccessful trips to previous years' finals, the Foxes have finally managed to earn themselves the city championship title in the women's soccer league.

The Foxes played reigning league champions, the Jaguars, for the title on Monday at the Estevan Comprehensive School soccer field.

After a slow start for both teams, Foxes forwards Karen Gonzalez and Kathryn Kitchen managed to find the back of the net, making the score 2-0 going into halftime.

In the second half, Gonzalez delivered two more unanswered goals, securing a 4-0 win for the Foxes.

Both the women's and men's soccer leagues usually play at the Dana Quewezance Memorial Field located in Woodlawn Park, but due to the spring flooding, were forced to move their game play. The women played at the high school field, while the men's league divided their time between the youth soccer fields at Cactus Park and the high school field.
