ESTEVAN - The Estevan Motor Speedway has altered its schedule for this weekend.
The track was initially supposed to have programs on Friday and Saturday night, starting at 7 p.m. each. But due to the weather that is forecasted for Estevan on Friday, the speedway will instead have races on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Estevan on Friday afternoon.
This is a big weekend for the speedway. It’s the annual track championship weekend, when the champions will be crowned in the modified, stock car, sport mod, hobby stock and slingshot classes.
It’s also the annual Dirt Wars weekend, which places a spotlight on the hobby stocks.
