The ECS senior boys' volleyball team advanced to the provincials in Melfort by finishing second in the south regional championships held at the Estevan Comprehensive School last Friday.
The Elecs were undefeated in the tournament before losing to Swift Current in the final.
Results from the round-robin were as follows:

Yorkton Sacred Heart - 0/3 Moose Jaw Peacock - 0/3
Sacred Heart and Peacock were eliminated after the pool play, while Estevan and Swift Current received byes to the semifinals. Second place from each pool crossed over and played the third place team from the other pool in the quarter-finals.
Winners of the quarter-final matches reached both the semifinals and the provincial championships, as four representatives advance from the south.
Yorkton Regional beat Moose Jaw Central in two straight sets, and Moose Jaw Vanier defeated Weyburn in two sets as well.
In the semifinal, Swift Current downed Yorkton Regional, and Estevan defeated Moose Jaw Vanier to set up a regional final of two undefeated teams.
In the final game, Swift Current proved to be too much for the Elecs, as they won the championship in two straight sets.
Yorkton Regional won the bronze game and will enter provincials as the third ranked team out of the south.
The SHSAA provincial volleyball championships are set to begin in Melfort on Friday, November 19 and wrap up on Saturday, November 20.
