ECS boys' curling team advances to regionals

The Estevan Comprehensive School boys' curling team boys were in Arcola last Monday and Tuesday at the District Championships. The ECS boys played seven games over the two-day bonspiel and came out victorious in six of them.

The Estevan Comprehensive School boys' curling team boys were in Arcola last Monday and Tuesday at the District Championships. The ECS boys played seven games over the two-day bonspiel and came out victorious in six of them.

On Monday, the Elecs beat Moosomin twice and Stoughton once. Their only loss was to Weyburn 2 (Weyburn had three teams entered), which moved them on the B-side.

On Tuesday, ECS played three games, beating Weyburn 3, Weyburn 2 in the B-side semifinal and then Midale in the B-side final.

The winner of the A-side was Weyburn 1, who was able to win all of their contests.

Both Weyburn 1 and ECS now advance to regionals in Churchbridge Friday and Saturday.
