The Power Dodge bantam A Chargers completed their first step on the way to a deep playoff run for the provincial title.

The girls are advancing to the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ provincial final after beating the Weyburn Wings in their two-game, total-goals series. After beating the Wings 5-1 in the first game, the Chargers travelled to Weyburn on Sunday, winning a tight matchup 3-2.

Brooklyn Dukart opened the scoring at 13:09 of the first period on a pass from Bailey Pierson.
The Chargers then scored another two goals in the second period. Those goals came courtesy of Shayla Mosley and Hailey Dukart.

Weyburn finally had an answer to the Chargers' pressure and scored with 1:24 remaining in the second.
The Chargers were goalless in the third period and the Wings made it interesting when they scored to get within one with less than seven minutes left in the game. The Chargers claimed the victory, outshooting their opponent 36-15.

The girls will meet the Prairie Storm in the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Provincial Final. The winner of this series will advance in the finals to face either the Swift Current Colts or Saskatoon Comets.

The Chargers will also begin the second round of league playoffs against the Weyburn Wings. Those games await scheduling.
