Nine years ago this spring, Ontario born and bred Gord Pekter applied for the Golf Operations/General Manager job at the White Bear Lake Golf Course. Now in 2021, he is still there. Petker is very proud of the golf course and the strong “Team Concept” there is with its employees. Superintendent Larry Palmer has been there since the course was opened back in the mid 1980’s. Gord appreciates the work of all of the grounds crew and clubhouse staff over the past decade. “The past two years have been great for White Bear and the game of golf” says Gord. “Memberships, daily green fees and cart rentals have increased dramatically.”
Pekter also appreciates the loyalty and business from the residents of 小蓝视频-Eastern Saskatchewan. “Carlyle and area is very fortunate to have three great courses within stepping stones of each other, ourselves, Carlyle, & Kenosee Lake. The “Bear”, as it is famously known, is one of the crown jewels in the Province of Saskatchewan. We get loads of compliments each and every day.”
Gord loves the beautiful condition of the course and is very pleased to be a part of the team. Good weather is forecast for the month of September and hopefully the course can remain open until the Thanksgiving long weekend. “See you at the Bear!”
