The regular season of the Big Six Hockey League is over and done with, and the first round of playoffs has begun. The Bienfait Coalers and Wawota Flyers played game one of their best of five quarter final series on Monday night.
Jeff Young scored with just 24 seconds remaining in overtime to propel the Coalers to a come-from-behind 5-4 home victory over the Flyers.
The Coalers forced the overtime, scoring a pair of goals with less than two minutes remaining in the third period. Dustin Stepp had a pair of goals for the Bienfait, while Matt Garagan and Brady Selk had the others.
Scoring the Wawota goals were Kent Sauter, Ben Brown, Brad Lincoln and Fritz Sauter.
