After four seasons with the Weyburn Beavers, the first year as the Assistant and the past three as Head Coach, Terry Smith has stepped down to take over the family business back home in Pocola, Oklahoma.

"On behalf of myself and the entire Beavers organization I would like to take this opportunity to thank Terry for his years of service to the Weyburn Beavers and the community of Weyburn," said Weyburn Beavers President Garnet Hansen. "His dedication, hard work and friendly down home personality will be missed by all."

The Beavers' executive spent a month processing applications for a new Head Coach and have recently introduced Angelo Nicolosi as Head Coach of the Weyburn Beavers Baseball Club. Coach Nicolosi is currently in his fourth year coaching at Tallahassee Community College in Tallahassee, Florida. He has also been the Head Coach of a summer league team, the Rockville Express, in the Cal Ripken Summer Collegiate League the past two summers.

Nicolosi also has an extensive background conducting youth baseball camps all across the USA and in Italy. His playing career included two seasons as a Player Coach in a professional baseball league in Torino, Italy.

"I'm a team player in every sense of the word. Given the opportunity to become part of Weyburn's Baseball tradition, I will represent the organization by maintaining a professional attitude and setting an example with respect," said Coach Nicolosi.

According to Hansen, Nicolosi will bring to the Beavers a tremendous amount of passion, enthusiasm and a strong background of coaching college athletes.
