The annual Winter Carnival held at White Bear Education Complex did not go exactly as planned, due to cold weather, but students had a fantastic time exploring various activities adapted for the indoors.
Activities got underway just after 10 a.m. and continued right through to the middle of the afternoon. Most activities had to be adapted for inside because it was too cold, but students were still able to enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides around the White Bear area.
Inside, students participated in many activities including: floor hockey; playing Nintendo Wii; painting; puzzles; basketball; volleyball; relay races; watching a movie; and more.
Students went from room to room - or in some cases hallway to hallway - to partake in the various activities.
Throughout the day, tea, bannock and moose meat was available for students who were hungry - much of which had been eaten by the end of the day.
The annual winter carnival gives students an opportunity to experience different activities than they usually experience in class, which in the past has included ice fishing.
