Weyburn has done it again. The city won the Golden Garbage Can competition against Estevan on June 21 and 22.Judges Ken Cross, public health inspector, and Environment Minister Nancy Heppner found Weyburn to be the cleanest city by a 31 to 29-point margin.This was the 48th competition between the two cities, the last one 小蓝视频 in 2003, when Weyburn took the Can once again. The Clean-up Campaign was started by health inspectors in 1956.The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce has also announced its business Clean-up Campaign winners. In the Industrial and Agricultural division, KND Services took the top spot and in the Commercial Services division, Weyburn Eye Care Associates were the winners."Choosing just two winners from this business community is getting more and more difficult each year," said Chamber Manager Jeff Richards. "The judges were overwhelmed by the efforts our business community devotes to keeping their businesses clean."The Chamber presents these awards to businesses whose physical appearance represents the cleanliness and professionalism that defines Weyburn, according to Richards.Next on the agenda for the city of Weyburn is the National Communities in Bloom competition. The judges will be in Weyburn on July 29.
