The weekly report is prepared with the assistance of the Carlyle RCMP. Issues involving the Mental Health Act, among others, are not reported.
The report of this week covers the period of Oct. 22 to 28. The detachment assisted with 42 calls during that time period.
October 22
RCMP assisted with a call regarding a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was parked at the bar and was observed for two hours, however did not leave. The file was concluded.
Members investigated a complaint of assault with a weapon in the area. The complainant was intoxicated and advised police the individual was attacking her. Members attended and no signs of an altercation had taken place. No charges were laid in the matter.
Members attended a false alarm to a business in Redvers.
The detachment received a compliant of a family dispute in the area. The complainant stated that a 36-year-old male was disputing with others in the residence. Members attended and were advised that it was a verbal disagreement. No charges were laid.
Police received a 911 call concerning a house trailer that was on fire. The Redvers Fire Department was already en route. Only one individual was in the residence. The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.
RCMP completed a traffic check stop in Wawota. A 43-year-old male was pulled over and found to be impaired. He was taken back to the detachment where he failed two tests with an alcohol blood level over 0.08. He was released on documents to attend court in Carlyle.
October 23
Police responded to a 911 hang-up call to a residence in the area.
The detachment received a report of a single motor vehicle accident south of Carlyle. No injuries resulted from the accident. No charges were laid as the accident was the result of a wildlife collision.
RCMP received a complaint of suspicious persons in Wawota. Patrols were performed and members were unable to find the individuals. No evidence of suspicious activity was found.
The detachment responded to a false alarm to a business in Redvers.
Members are investigating a report of a stolen cell phone from the area.
October 24
The detachment received a false alarm from business in Arcola.
The RCMP received a request from Regina Provincial Corrections Centre to obtain a statement from an individual in the Antler area.
Members received a call from a pay phone in Kisbey. The individual did not know where she was. The phone was disconnected and no further calls were made. Members patrolled and could not locate the individual. The file was closed.
Members received a report of an individual pointing a firearm in the area. That matter is still under investigation.
The detachment received a complaint of uttering threats in Carlyle. A female individual had phoned the attachment and wanted RCMP to attend. Members attended the scene where a dispute between two females, aged 44 and 42, as a result of a ride.
Members received a result from Regina Police Service to obtain a statement from an individual in the area regarding a Break and Enter that took place in Regina.
A call was received regarding a two vehicle motor vehicle accident between Manor and Carlyle on highway 13 where one vehicle had rear-ended the other. Members attended and no charges were laid at the request of the complainant.
Police received a call concerning a single motor vehicle accident. A 20-year-old male had driven into the ditch west of Redvers to avoid a dead end. No injuries resulted from the accident.
The detachment received a complaint of a false alarm to a business in the Kisbey area.
October 25
Members received a false alarm from a residence in the Manor area. The owner was contacted and it was determined that they must have set it off on the way to work.
A 911 call was received from a business in Redvers where an individual had driven into the side of the building and left the scene. A fair amount of damage was done to the vehicle and a license plate was obtained. The registered owner was contacted and police were informed that it had been her daughter who was driving. The daughter was issued a ticket for driving without due care and attention which is a $280 fine.
RCMP members received a complaint of an erratic driver on highway 13 near Kisbey. The complainant indicated the car had cut her off. The caller did not want charges laid but did want the driver spoken with.
RCMP assisted Medicine Hat police in serving a summons to a 32-year-old female in Pheasant Rump.
October 26
RCMP received a complaint from a motorist driving on highway 13 near Wauchope. The caller indicated that the vehicle kept coming into his lane and indicated that the driver was possibly texting. A vehicle was pulled over that met the description of the vehicle. The 20-year-old male did not have a working cell phone. No charges were laid in the matter.
A 39-year-old male failed to appear in court. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter to a well site dog house near Carlyle. The result was the theft of clothes and a small amount of money. No suspects were identified, however the caller wished to have the incident reported.
A 20-year-old Manor resident failed to attend court. A warrant has been issued.
October 27
RCMP received a false 911 call. The individual who was calling was intoxicated. Members attended the residence where the call had come from and a verbal warning was given about false calls to 911.
October 28
The detachment received a 911 call. The complainant indicated that they had removed someone from the house and the individual was now breaking windows outside. Both individuals had been drinking. The matter is on going.
Police received a complaint of a motor vehicle accident where a track hoe had run over a car in a gravel pit. No injuries resulted and no charges were laid. The incident was reported for SGI purposes.
The detachment received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle south of highway 13 at the highway 9 north junction. The matter is still under investigation.
A 911 call was received advising that two males were stumbling on highway 13 outside of Carlyle. Members attended and both individuals were given a ride back to their residence. No charges were laid in matter.
